TL;DR:

The Trump administration terminated about $100 million in grant funding for the Ascend Elements battery plant in Kentucky.

Construction at the company's site is paused but is expected to restart in 2026.

Ascend Elements stated the grant termination does not change its trajectory and it will seek other funding sources.

The US government ( tax payers, aka US) need to stop all funding period. If John Q. Public wants wants ice vehicles then that’s what they should make. next up: actually mak what customers are asking for…… simple computer less vehicles without all the safety tonics. Work with government to reduce regulations, and maybe just maybe you sell vehicles because people can afford them, not raise prices in ice to subsidize ev cr-p.so wages being the same build a vehicle with an auto and big six for 25k or else people will buy used and replace engines etc…. Do or die your choice Mr ford
