I can barely manage the commute to Deerfield

I can only imagine many others are in an even worse predicament than I am. And for what? RTO has been rolled out across the country for quite a while now, and there’s plenty of data showing that none of the things they talk about, like collaboration or efficiency, actually improve by herding us back into the office. The only explanation is that they want to make a lot of us quit.

I hear how tough the commute to Deerfield is, and I know it feels like a slog, especially with RTO policies without clear benefits. You're not alone in this, and it’s okay to feel frustrated. Start by focusing on what you can control: save where you can, explore new job opportunities that align with your needs, and keep your skills sharp. The job market might be tight now, but things are always shifting—4 to 6 months from now could open new doors. Stay resilient, keep your head up, and trust that you’re capable of finding a path that works better for you. You’ve got this, and so do others reading this—let’s keep pushing forward together!

This is an employers' market, and unfortunately, companies right now prioritize investors over their employees. I can only hope they'll require everyone to come into the office just 2 days a week instead of 4.

as well as keeping those sweet tax breaks and propping up commercial real estate values. we incur all the costs and receive none of the benefits. my morale is through the roof!

Welcome to asymmetrical warfare. Do not believe their words. Believe their actions.

They want you to quit.
