Is anyone hearing of ISPs getting hired back? Or was that just a ruse?

@b5 I am sure they will. Penny overspent when she first became managing partner. I would not want her managing my money if I did not have to because I work at Jones. She drove the company into shambles by overspending. Now she is doubling down by laying people off. They should hire the right person for the job now. If they do not they are just exacerbating their problems. I would agree they probably want as many people in the office as possible. jones spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the campus expansion. They are not going to just let those buildings sit. I have know idea who Penny scammed into allowing her to manage their assets when she was an FA. The people of Livonia, MI must be absolute dolts to hand over their hard earned savings to this id--t.
Supposedly ISP'd people are "prioritized" for new positions if they apply, but I've been told at least one GP said "we will hire the right person for the job, regardless of ER guidance". I've also been told that HBAs aren't being considered almost at all, they're exclusively looking for on-site and converting as many people as they can to hybrid.
Jones will hire some ISP'd people back. This is what companies always do. They overcut knowing they are overcutting. They cut people who have helped them achieve record net income. Then they make the remaining employees do more work for the same or less money. Then they put the guilt trip on the remaining employees saying don't complain it could be worse you could have been cut. Then they decide what they need and start hiring back. In their minds it is better to overcut and hire back than to undercut. I have seen this numerous times in my career. Edward Jones has never done this before. The first five managing partners said they would never do this. But, there is a new managing partner in town who is making this company as lean as possible even if it mean morale goes into the toilet. Maybe she is trying to take the company public. Maybe she is trying to make it as attractive as possible to be a target of a buyout. Who knows? It will become crystal clear in the end. Not doing this is what made Edward Jones such a unique place that attracted top talent for decades. Unfortunately, Penny has changed that. Now the firm is just another cut throat employer looking at the bottom line and feigning concern for their employees. Jones, Jones, Bachmann, Hill, and Weddle who managing partners of integrity who could be trusted. Pennington is an evil mercenary who will sell anyone out for her thirty pieces of silver.
