I don’t know how they can accommodate OPO people.

Does anyone know which functions will be hit the hardest with the rumored layoffs?
@ab Mostly the useless IT folks
Yes, layoffs are coming in corporate. No doubt about it. They have to make room to consolidate the OPO employees with the Deerfield employees.
PE firms traditionally strip a company down to bare bones and only keep the super profitable parts. Walgreens is going to become a shell of what it is now. I suspect entire departments will be eliminated, especially if they relate to healthcare. The company wants to focus on Pharmacy and Retail only now - nothing else.
I expect a bloodbath in the near future. Right in time for the holidays! Oh joy!
How many people currently work in Deerfield? OPO? How many parking spots including the garage in Deerfield? How many work stations? Surely someone has the numbers....
@OP also I'll be praying for all the Wags family to get through this time.
The best is yet to come, whether you are still with Walgreens or not.
@OP they'll be making room for the office in January 2026. Two rounds of layoffs are obvious. Plan a simpler Christmas and make it up to your kids later. My parents did that for me when my dad lost his job during the holiday season. It su-ks but food, lights on and a warm bed is the priority right now.
@a1 Ginger, please shut up.
@a4 do you know what teams will be hit the hardest?
Leadership team is telling layoff plan is laid out.
Don’t exaggerate. It’s far from full.
