I don’t get it. I am ExxonMobil... we are ExxonMobil. That means the company, the team, and I are all one and the same. That’s literally our motto! Now this VP is saying there are three separate entities? Company, team, self? Wtf happened to “we are ExxonMobil”?
These execs never learn… each one is asked to make some sort of “negative change” to show their loyalty, then they are shown the door. Sara, Linda, Philip, Joe, Bryan… thanks, see ya! What a way to leave and think the legacy you leave with hundreds of people… wonder what awaits them at the pearly gates?
Company first means DW and his inner circle. He received $44 million in total compensation last year. All this off the backs of long time loyal employees who have to suffer the indignity of a fake performance improvement process. Now more layoffs in sight. No wonder XOM have trouble with recruitment. Those who are smart get their few years in and then get the h*ll out.
Well, "company" is mostly them, isn't it?
