Thanks Trumpridge
I’m hearing big huge wonderful things are happening, many are saying the biggest perhaps of all time, I don’t know if it’s the biggest but many are saying this may be one of the hugest things, wonderful, big, the biggest. Huge!
@19w what a vague, and uninformative, thing to say. Sure you don’t want to change your statement to “the sky is blue or water is wet?” I could understand why you wouldn’t want to. I can verify those things to be true. Please feel free to come back when you’ve got something a little more solid than “big things are happening”
big things are happening
What retiree benefits?
@k4 you do not get retiree benefits unless you are 55 and 5+ years of service, unless something has changed and dropped the age to 53. They have dropped it to 53 during layoffs, but not for those that voluntarily retire. I believe they recently dropped the service requirement from 10 yrs to 5 yrs, but not the age requirement.
@er you can retire at 53. I’m not sure why you have to wait until 55

Can I raise my hand? Just lower retirement age to 53 and I’m OUT! I’ll happily make room for the younger folks!
@dk, SO TRUE! Failed Exec and Sr Management (I won’t even term it Leadership, because they don’t know how to lead!). Quick fixes, creating more groups and empires and Director positions to fix every problem, but never truly fixing anything! It’s truly ridiculous!
Remember folks, repeated layoffs are a sign of failed senior management. Id--ts who look for quick fixes but never fix anything, that's why layofffs become seasonal at big E. The ELT should be ashamed of themselves that this keeps happening! But, they are never the ones to suffer, so the scythe continues to swing every 18 months or so.....
@a4 yep. Noticed a couple of people in my LI feed scanning my profile to see where I am at, and in their profiles show end date of October for their last position.
The layoffs are already underway, but this time, they’re being handled discreetly. By letting go of a few employees each week, the company can avoid drawing widespread attention.
