Thread regarding Gartner Inc. layoffs

Gartner layoffs beyond Talent & Acquisition at

I can confirm there were layoffs well beyond TA, as I was part of group more than 110 research support staff that were unceremoniously informed that it was their last day at Gartner and given less than 24 hours to download their paystubs and say their goodbye to their colleagues. It was truly a brutal and emotionally devastating experience.

@OP everyone should be putting open to work banners on LinkedIn profiles. It’s ok to say impacted by layoffs as that is a factual statement.

@jz can confirm conferences laid off more senior managers and promoted planners internally so they can backfill at lower level.

All of Gartner — except for Sales, but they’re performance managing the he-l out of them — has been affected, they’re just going about it in a very smart way to ensure it doesn’t get out.

This is so unacceptable. I’m in TA, and they never told us. So I’ve been selling people on stability while people are getting laid off.

A large layoff in R&A Studio cut editors, designers, project managers and editorial and design managers.
That's unprecedented for the department, which saw minimal cuts during dot-com bust and in Great Recession compared with other parts of the business.
Ex-CEB hit less than long-tenured Gartner folks.
