Is there any good reason why this company has so many VPs?

So many teams with losing season and they fired the coaches and executives not the team members.
Here VPs save themselves and underlings aka A$$K!$$3R5 and got rid of people that performed.

"Zuckerberg called out the inefficiencies within the large social media platform, which is also happening at other large tech companies, stating, “I don’t think you want a management structure that’s just managers managing managers, managing managers, managing managers, managing the people who are doing the work.”
sounds familiar?

how many of the VPs got wacked today?
it was getting ridiculous when VPs are promoted for doing regular work or worse when one VP is literally an admin to another
Nepotism at its finest
Thanks to the incompetency of those that hired them. It´s reward for the friends and family, @55kisser, DEI poster child, and from desperation hiring decisions by lack of knowledge & planning.
They get golden parachutes, big severance pkg for failures, big compensation for non accomplishments or on the back of others they laid off.
VP of hackathon ? tons of VPs for specific sub roles? technical VP promotion for being a pass thru? cloud VPs of how many sub areas?
They think they are doing good but they actually sap the life out of and accelerate the demise of the company with turf battle and politics to look after themselves.
They should be ashame and self-off board themselves.
When dealing with customers, it's "chest puffery" to have a fancy title to interact with customer peers. Doesn't matter that few "home office" types actually talk with customers to help shape sales/marketing efforts. It's a narcissistic move reflective of the kiss-up culture. In other words, there's lots of tap-dancing reasons but no good reasons to have this title inflation. Maybe they all coasted through school with grade-inflation too ;-)
