Thread regarding TIBCO Software Inc. layoffs

Citrix brethren: take your PTO right now!

The just announced plan to convert Citrites to the Flex Time Off plan is a theft of wages imo. I am from the TIBCO side and a little peeved about the canceled shutdown but I could kind of get it. But this PTO to FTO transition where they expect Citrites to roll over their accrued PTO into 2023 and use it in 2023 instead of PAYING them for their accrued PTO (which is a part of their compensation package!) is just bad. I hope the Citrites take their earned PTO now. Just go. Just another indication of where the new culture is heading. This is beyond sad.

As someone who maxed out the PTO plan at Citrix, this is complete BS. Everywhere I look my total comp is slashed. No PTO accrual. No stock purchase plan. No RSU's. Waiting until 2nd half the year to get a merit raise (when I haven't had one in almost a year). And in this godawful economy, they know they have us by the nads.

We could only carry over 5 days for non California employees. Also they only pay out 50% so not really much loss. I took them all as they are worthless going forward.

We got several HR emails initially telling us to burn all our time before Dec 31st 2022. It wasn't until somewhat recently that they changed their tune about allowing you to "carry it over".

For those of us not in California we could only roll over 5 days anyway. So even if you are in that position now it shouldn't be a big deal wo just burn those "extra" 5 days you will start 2023 with. Those in other GEO's with more flexible/generous PTO allowances that are sitting on 10+ days, I can see why they would be mad.

i agree with you (OP) and same reason I took all my time before end of 2022.
