Ancestral home of Sears? That would be in North Lawndale, not Hoffman Estates.

I believe that the new owner of the property at Hoffman Estates bulldozed everything down to bare earth and hauled it all away. If memory is right, they are going to build a giant datacenter there.

Didn't they sell the property as Hoffman Estates? I believe they moved downtown while the new owners did an overhaul the property and are now back renting a small space from them.

They now list this as their corporate headquarters. Not sure how long its been that way but they were in downtown Chicago for a while.
