I’m a contractor that works at RFAB. I don’t know exactly, but why I can say is this:
Before layoffs, the ice machine on the 2nd floor was always out of ice. Now it always has ice.

So what areas got hit? I messaged people who were on-site yesterday and they said nothing was happening.
Probably 200+ people or so. No confirmation on which FABs but TMG basically in ruins and gutted. People with 1-25+ years experience. People with multiple module and multi level and multi group experience. Appeared random at first but appears review and performance driven.... not good for production. 100% of the people laid off on MFG A Shift best and hardest workers I got to work with.
@aj I saw what looked like NCGs exiting Santa Clara.
@aj Probably lower risk than others. They'll let off experienced employees to save a buck. NCGs are cheap.
Are all shifts being affected?
Are recent hires (2 years or less) at risk?
Lost my job today at RFAB. The meeting was short and they didn’t seem to care at all about losing good employees. Time for something better.

@a4 hey I don't know where you are but definitely night shift was hit, 4 people in shipping, 3 people in photo,1 person in the command center and 1 person in the reticle room. I heard they all had PIP's but dang half of them I know worked hard.
Far as ive been able to tell (by asking multiple people to confirm) 8 people on D shift manufacturing, mainly incoming/shipping. And 4 people on C shift, not sure where.

Pretty sure these replies are not accurate. No word of layoffs that have occurred at RFAB in the past 24 hours here.
