Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Anyone here worked for OptumInsight as Software Engineer?

Would like some "insights", experiences, pain points?

I laugh so hard at the title of engineer. Your not building sh-t, your just a tech with a fancy title that means absolutely nothing in the real world. If you want to be a software engineer, work at a development company not a healthcare company. The only software you will develop is replacing something another team build a year ir two before that didn't actually meet the requirements.

If you like Agile and work with Indians, then this is for you.

Optum actually knows how to do Agile now? When it was there, it was hard dates set in stone every sprint with hyper micromanagement on daily activity. Not even close to real Agile, but it gave Indian managers a sense of worth since they could yell at people for not working fast enough.

Antiquated technology and do not utilize the software development cycle principles so sh*t goes into production daily.
