Looks like the days off generous severance packages from intel are gone. Incredible to think about getting a generous severance to leave intel, I wish I was laid off and kudos to Anyone who got a nice package to leave. Anyone else hear anything?

@he why would any talented person take a job where expecting to get a severance package is part of the deal? People want job security not a package on the way out the door. Intel won't be able to draw talent until it stabilizes. This is a long way off.

Intel's business is technically demanding. The company needs really smart people and it competes with the top industry players for that talent. This is already very hard for the company right now. The idea that it would stop giving severance packages on top of that is just asinine. "So you want to hire me for lower comp and no severance???"
Eliminate night shifts. Have people on call.
November 30 is when laid off employees will leave the company. Got confirmation on this. Beginning of October is when the notifications will go out.
You'll be lucky to get a box of food as a going away package.
@cc fake news
Laid off employees will receive the severance package as in the last cycle in calendar year 2025. I heard legally within the same calendar year terms of severance cannot be changed.
I also heard that after 5 December 2025, every employee will receive a fixed 12 week severance regardless of seniority.
So October cycle is your last chance to grab the severance you are entitled to in line with your years of service.
That's all I have for now...
Bladge flipping will replaces packages
Yawn
Well they definitely kept the smart ones!
There is no money
When will these new firing be announced?
I doubt there will be any voluntary packages going forward, because that was d-mb policy and this is not IDM1.0, but IBM2.0
You are working at a company that is living off of donations. Im sure the govt and Jensen would be really excited to pay you packages outside of the minimum required by the state from their money
@OP STFU no one is getting packages to leave or when they get laid off. Everyone is getting the minimum req due for WARN. What a bunch of clowns.
If Intel can afford to hire execs, they can give packages to those they let go. Anything else is just shameful.
@a4
Doomsayers. Layoff's are because Intel is going bankrupt, hence no packages.
Always spreading FUD
what makes you think intel will not continue to give good severance package going forward?
I heard the package was quite good for those impacted in recent months
