Maybe just listen in the background whilst doing the needful??
Didn't you have pep rallies in high school?
@OP Couldn’t agree more. The town halls are not for employees, they are specifically for senior management to tick a box that they are “communicating” with employees.
The only interest that the majority of attendees have is the Slido Q&A component. Having attended dozens of town halls, the Slido section is typically given 10 minutes max at the end. Any questions that employees want a comprehensive answer to (e.g. salary, compensation, job security, ongoing RIFs) are always sidestepped, or minimised.
Also, there is always one or two a-s kissing questions submitted by someone who’s only motivation is to raise their profile, usually along the lines of “Why are the senior management team so amazing, and what pearls of wisdom can you bestow upon us?” 🙄
Get a grip lol they aren't a modern phenomenon. It's the corporate world.
Fat senior mgmt gotta do dog and pony show
Suffered through one yesterday. At any given slide 75% of the audience has no idea of what they’re talking about.
