The goal isn’t a promotion anymore, it’s escape. Forget raises or fat bonuses, the real win here is landing a new job and walking out. That’s the only future that looks good to me right now, and I’ve been chasing it for months.

WHOS GETTING A BONUS???
I've only been working for XOM for about 7 or 8 years, only once have i got a bonus.
That bonus was a pitty bonus they handed out because there wasn't raises during covid.
Yes I feel sorry for the new hires. The managers were going over all the benefits and perks. They were told of the medical, pension and gas card. In reality the medical su-ks with all kinds of coinsurance and co pays, pension is only good if you make it to retirement. Some of these fools are in their 20's and had stars in their eyes. The newbies are not aware of the constant piping, toxic back stabbing co workers, and evil management leaders.

Yes either getting to retirement or leaving before you are too old is the goal. Getting to retirement is getting harder as they are piping employees at 45 to 50 years of age. Good luck to us the players in this game.
