@1q - as someone who was just laid off, when I tell you I was shocked to hear an admittance of quality dropping made my heart happy. It’s all for show, or crazy initiatives will be started to “clean it up”. Can’t wait to see them bring back WIGs, on account of them being just oh so WiLdLy ImPoRtAnT and all

Nielsen could triple my salary, offer WFH again and fund my severance five times over and I’d still never consider coming back.

Once a d-bag company always a d-bag company and the habib captain and private equity behind the wheel. Hard pass.

@1my i can't even believe he finally admitted quality has fallen off a cliff. previously it was all about what a success it is despite seeing the complete opposite with our own eyeballs every hour of every day

“One of the negative side effects of the speed of which we executed… uhm… is our quality has officially taken a hit. Now everybody is focused on getting us back to where we need to be, but across the company— all the way from Gracenote to ad-intel to any of our products— we are seeing quality drops that is way below the standards we all hold for ourselves. And so there’s a massive effort at the company now, reframing how we want to think about…” sorry I’m not sure what else karthik said after that part of the townhall because I was screaming over my recording to HIRE BACK THE US FU--ING WORKERS

@vs current employees don't have a future at Nielsen.

OK so now I see this forum's true colors. As a current field employee I shared an opposing look to how most feel on this forum. (I'm thankful for my time at Nielsen, am looking to stay but overall not completely thrilled with every change that is made) and my post was deleted. It appears that this is a good place for one sided opinions which is a terrible place for current employees to determine how to plan their futures.

I know the employees I talk to are feigning "liking it" while complaining privately to ex-employees that how terrible it is there. That's my experience w/ the engineering staff who feel stuck there.

@a6 the “what WE are doing to help” is so obviously an indication this is straight from “the desk of Carole R.” Funny times when desperation sets in. The iceberg is approaching.

Nielsen field employees are some of the most depressing people to work alongside, with hardly any of them being of any real talent.

At best low quality cable techs (if you can imagine that) and sales reps with zero talent other than handing out gift cards and false promises, smoking doobies between visits to households and getting wasted at corporate training event dinners.

The company is a dumpster fire from one end to the other, and the field is ground zero for the dysfunction there.

If @a6 is not a troll I don't know what's going on. Do Nielsen still have employees that appreciate the company? How can anybody be so d-mb?

Actually it was very encouraging. You should check it out if you are interested in learning what we are doing and what we are working towards. It was a good view of what is happening in the industry and what we are doing to help.
