Question. Why RIF and then rehire ?? Why are departments allowed to hire if they laid other employees off?
I work with WellMed in TX. We were just notified by our management that a RIF occurred for our organization this morning. Two departments were involved. Ours was not, but we are officially on a hiring freeze. We still have not heard if our particular market was impacted. So far I am not aware of anyone I personally work with being let go. Fingers crossed. I'm so sorry for everyone loosing their jobs. It's really hard to relax though knowing another round may be coming in October.
It is a layoff date indeed. My organization is not mentioned here but people got cut. Sorry I can not disclose more.

People who still seem to be uncertain if they're impacted, it looks like it is WELLMED. Did you work with WellMed? Did you have anything to do with that? No? probably won't be you today, then mmmkay?

Unless people give departments even high level ones it’s hard to trust all these posts.
