Thread regarding US Foods layoffs

Report Card

I have been reading all of the posts and can't believe how much everyone sees what is going on in the same way. After reading your posts and including my experiences, here is my report card for US Foods.

HR- The CHRO gets an F for making his team be unethical. I have gotten to know most of his team members through the years and I give them a B+.

Security- How could you select this man to be a security VP. He confessed to being inappropriate and lying. And he betrayed his company or agency or what ever and confessed to telling the media info he wasn't suppose to. And we hired him? Big F

Ops- Some are unethical but some are too flirty. But most are good. C.

Legal- I only know this group and Food Safety is good and so are the contracts people. B. The ethic & compliance is really poor, always has been.

Safety- What safety? D

Sales- We need more tools and we have some lazy people here. C

Workplace Violence - D-

Communications: A

Facilities- Things work and they fix it when there is a maintenance problem in the office. I don't go in much but things are always good and kept working. A

Travel and Events- No clue

Marketing: You all got it right. D-

Finance and Procurement: B

IT: Nothing ever works for a long time and it sc--ws us in sales: D-

Business & Crisis Continuity- They are new but very good and they help us and our customers during crazy times. A

Chefs- A

Transportation- If these are our delivery drivers A

Payroll and Benefits: The benefits and out of pocket are too expensive but they do a god job on our pay. C

Executives: I don't fault Mr. Flitman for hiring his son. He is trying to be a good father and there are many relatives here. I have a problem with our CHRO after some of the things I read here and what he made his team do. Despicable. And now he is leading the most despicable man in the company instead of firing him. So I will take the A- I was going to give and make it a C-.

Actually, Colonel Sanders is correct on this. I can’t say more than that but but somehow he learned the truth.

Thanks for clarifying. So Curnal Sanders is wrong. That's good to know.

Nah y’all. I work for IT in the field helping the markets in my area and I haven’t heard anything about a breach. If it ever did happen, I would normally lnow and we’d all be told to be quiet. But that doesn’t mean it is our fault. Like our cars, sometimes things happen but our team will handle it the way we always do.

This one isn't their fault. One of my security friends told me that his boss told him that it was caused by a breech of our IT data computers or tools or something like that. I am not a techie but we were breeched according to him. They are working on it and he doesn't know anything more than that. He asked me to call someone in IT but my friend in IT didn't deny it but said he cannot comment on that. So let's be supportive of our IT team. This time it was NOT their fault. Keep in mind that this was started by the VP sec gentleman that you all seem to hate on here and has the checkered past so who knows if it is true. Has anyone heard anything about this? If its true, we normally get talk around points but we haven't gotten any of that. Who knows. I just want you to know this one is not their fault. But layoffs might be lurking if they keep this sh-t going and it pi---s enough of our customers off.

I have a customer that is complaining over another breakdown with an IT tool that they rely on. It is ridiculous for a company that is as large as US Foods. I would give them an F. I agree with everything else. We all know where the problems are. The posts here make it clear. It is up to DF to take action and move out the execs that are failing him. IT has constant problems. HR brought in a security cancer from another team instead of firing him. The marketing here is a joke. Ect. Ect. Ect.

This is a descent report card. Everyone with an A deserves it. I only wish that there was a lower score for security. But you all forgot ethics and compliance. This ethics group has failed many and like security, cannot be trusted to report our obstacles and wrong doing. What I have read on here and later confirmed with friends in legal that I have known for years is a tragedy. Their handling of complaints and investigations is a complete failure and what happened in Montgomery could have been prevented if all of the red flags would have been addressed. This group's lack of experience and stupid a-s actions and lack of actions almost cost the death of an employee. Did someone look into all of the incidents down here that if addressed correctly, would have prevented the shooting? No, because if an internal investigation from a group like HR or audit had been done, the id--t would be fired. As a leader here in Montgomery, I am very angry with that group and give them an F. We are also not completely comfortable with what they now have in place here. There are ways to circumvent what they think will work. Audit should come down and audit the waste of money they put here. It is an effort but a stupid a-s one.

Travel gets a B but if they manage the expense reports too, the fu--ing process needs to be tossed. It was much easier at my prior company and they use concur too. It su-ks! Whoever has expenses gets a fu--ing F.
