It is hard to even guess how many irrelevant roles there are that do not add any value to the company. Any idea how many such roles are here? Compared to other companies I've worked at, I think VMW has too many of them.

The majority of the Marketing team, the internal communications team, DEI and most of DMT.
What font is used on those internal slide decks?
Pretty much all of DEI and any employee volunteering for DEI "work".
I am working with a marketing department that got 12 staff and 3 VPs. Their marketing is INTERNAL. So millions of dollars for some internal slide decks and white papers. It’s ridiculous.
Don't just count the irrelevant roles, count the irrelevant fakes that are in positions of power.
