I'm sorry to hear that you were laid off. I wonder if this part of the September sweep of quiet layoffs. I know on another thread someone mentioned 9/30 as last day for some.
It's hard to hear people being laid off and then they drop over a billion and counting on London office. Doesn't add up at all.
I hope you find something better than here. I know it's a total shock.
