What kind of level disrespect is this? And you expect loyalty & performance from someone you treat like a garbage.

Don't expect something else from this boring leadership. Most of them didn't leave their tiny village/town in their entire lives and worked for the same company for decades without showing a tiny bit of curiosity about what is happening in the world. They are managing the company as a local shop. Do you expect anything original, visinonary from people that used to complicity & routine? Then the problem is you.
It is time to leave :)
I don’t envy you reporting to a brainless line manager, very happy I left so I don’t have to deal with that anymore. Like with all id--ts, unless you tell them directly that this is not right, it’s likely that person genuinely thinks this is perfectly acceptable behaviour. Tell that person face to face, don’t put it in a MS Teams chat, be a better person than your line manager. And if that has no effect - at the very least, you’ll display behaviour that is in line with human values and that’s already 100% better, at least you can be the example for yourself.
Yup nothing new. I know various examples: Fired via chat while on leave, or while on sick leave, or from somewhere over the phone, or restructured after maternity leave or while in maternity, or while pregnant, etc..
This company is sinking lower and lower.
I would rated as lacking even the basics of courtesy and Hr processes not to mention the useless managers who have not heard about leadership or emotional intelligence in their pathetic little lives.
Run for the hills!
Tell me something new…
It happened to my teammate. Manager texted him to let him know that his reporting line changes just before the meeting they will announce it to the entire team.
