In the movie trope, a diverse team, each with a critical and unique skill is brought together to pull off an impossible heist. Together they achieve the impossible, however, the leaders decide that they would prefer not to share the bo--y, so they eliminate team member, one by one until only a few team members are left. I wonder what brought this to mind.

Actually that’s the story of Dell.
Hard working people with great ideas got together. They achieve their goals and yet the leaders refuse to share in the loot by such simple tools as stock options and an employee stock ownership plan.
They will try to pacify the productive people with the annual bonus that is determined through a smoke and mirrors process and when the numbers are announced they treat it like they are doing you a favor.
