Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Esso France

Has the Esso France change in control happened yet? Waiting for the outcome to see which European asset to strip next?

No Esso/ExxonMobil branding on the Forever Fawley lanyards is quite telling, only a matter of time now

@ed+1k516fkxg One line of thought is North Atlantic has also bought the UK business as well as Esso SAF.

Another rumour is there's only so much bad news you can pile on Europe in one go. Pacing the bad news therfore.

Both are conjecture, Esso SAF delay means any further announcements are getting very close to Christmas, maybe it therefore gets moved to January.

@am why would you they need to wait for the CiC in France before announcing the Uk sale? I don't see the connection between the two events, but I'm happy to learn.

Outlook is that UK sale announcement put back until Esso SAF see concludes.

No. Change in control is scheduled Nov 30th. It's been delayed one month (originally it was supposed to take place on Oct 31st).
