HPE Offers & Increases

Seems like the offers are lesser compared to what we make at Juniper. From today's meeting, seems like the next pay cycle for us doesn't happen until end of next year.. They kept talking about such a huge number for bonus funding.. has that been really the case or is it just on paper.. anyone knows.. ?

Even if you get an offer, seems like we just have to hang in there until we move out..

I'm getting more and more detached from this combined team...

@k0 I met my wife at work. And now she makes 10 times more than I ever did and now I'm retired sitting on the beach sipping adult beverages is a kept man. I would say I was fairly compensated for my time at HP/HPE.

@k1 and how many tasks you complete and not the quality of the work

@k0 unfortunate reality these days. People are only worried about cost savings and not quality of work.

@ef If they do accidentally pay what you’re worth you become a target for a layoff because there is always some cheaper.

@f1 compensation comes in many forms it's just not salary, benefits, options for remote work. People that you work with. If money is all you're looking for that's fine. This may not be the fit for you.

@ef how can HPE be a great company to WORK FOR If the point of working for the is to be FAIRLY COMPENSATED for your efforts? Your statement is a nonsensical oxymoronic statement. That’s like describing a great restaurant to dine at that serves cr-ppy food. You can’t have it both ways.

Just an FYI folks when inflation was running at 8% 2 years ago hpe gave 0% raises to their employees. When we do get a raise it doesn't even keep up with inflation. Typical raises during good times are 1 to 2%. hpe is a great company to work for but not one that pays well and never has during my 20 plus years at this company. I'm definitely not here for the money or I would have left years ago.

@ag Unfounded rumors again.

No one has received a transition letter in the US yet.

Check your offer letter when / if you get it. It will have special wording to reference your earnings for the first 12 months of employment at HPE.

HPEs salary structure is certainly lower than Juniper.

@a5 Definitely have to be unfounded speculation since Offer/Transition letters haven't gone out yet. Anyone saying they have is flat out lying.

@a2 Agree with you, however some "rumors" have been said where the pay is lower in the range of 10% on average. Definitely rumors on the pay numbers though..

Where are you getting that offers will be less than what you currently make at Juniper? Nothing of the sort was said in the meeting.

It would be counterproductive to do so, because if you think they would do that on the chance you don't take the offer and they save money......they could just not offer you a job at all and save any risk of you sticking around.
