About 2 years ago, Carmen in Denver and Cheyenne got laid off a few weeks after doing their engagement surveys.
These layoffs are just the beginning of what is to come, 2019 will look mild compared to what is in store for the next year to year and a half. Vena’s plan has been put in motion. No more hump yards, more contractors, less union workers if you are in mechanical departments with less than 25 years in it would probably be wise to start preparing for furlough.
I got mine at home and wiped my rear and flushed it
My best advice to everyone would be to don't do the survey! Regardless of what some believe, that survey is not anonymous! You have to log into a UP computer to do it or some form of a UP controlled device. The UP can in fact watch and monitor IP addresses for usage reasons. It even says on the UP lock screen "Union Pacific reserves the right to monitor and audit your use of it's communications systems and applications without prior notice or consent". Now how can anyone really believe that the survey is completely anonymous, especially when it says that? More employees are losing their jobs and they want us to do an engagement survey so our "voices can be heard"? Ok but they may not like what our voices are saying!
So you do your employee engagement survey , then you get the walking papers ? Got it
