I read one of the posts where someone commented on our marketing challenges and I thought it needed its own section. We need a new direction on our marketing strategy because it does seem like ours is something out of the 90s. Everyone knows it in sales. We always say that we sell "in spite of our su-k a-s chief marketing officer" . We need new material and modern ads and sales tools. Her approach is something out of the fu--ing flintstones. Give us a fresh and young marketing plan and tools. We are embarrassed when we see tiny companies kicking our a-s on their slogans and marketing material. A change is needed there. In marketing, being bold and creative and making a change every few years is not a bad thing.

I used to sell for US Foods. Now I am with a smaller company and had a descent year for cardinal even though our marketing officer is almost as bad as yours. Your marketing officer gives you all some tacky and old materials to work with but what’s been helping us is your problem with your security dude and your tech tools that our current and proposed customers tell us keeps having shut downs.
Y’all’s bad marketing is known in the industry and another reason I was above plan at PFG. Thank you too for my strong year end. Keep up the good work. Well, good for me. Ha ha ha ha!
Couldn’t have said it bettter.
Please give us a chance to increase the success. Successful sales mean fresh ideas. Its time to move on from bad and get a winner to drive our marketing..
No I meant a new CHRO that would fire her and hire a new CMO that is more creative and a better leader.
I think you meant to say a new CMO for chief marketing officer. Our HR has nothing to do with sales.
We could sell so much more with a fresh approach. We don't sell food that is stale so why do we have her here with the lame and old ideas. Give us a new CHRO and we will improve sales 1/3 within 2 or 3 years. She su-ks!
You have to be sh-----g me! We have been complaining bout her a-s for years. They have to know how fu--ing weak she is. There must be valuable ASSets being shared. Our marketing is a fu--ing joke!
That bi--h is still here. So we will have to win in spite of her bullsh-t marketing ideas. She fu--ing su-ks and hinders our growth. Quit keeping her based on friendship or the past and fire the bi--h. Even Penn State doesn't tolerate any terrible years. Please give us a chance to succeed and run her out NOW!
Did the CMO lose her job after the poor sales report? Her job should be directly tied into our numbers and targets.
We will pay for her ineptness in lack of sales and layoffs. If any of us go, she has to go too.
I am the newest member of my team. I don't know how old our marketing material is but it is weak. I love working at US Foods and what we can do for customers but our marketing is the worst I have ever had with my previous employers. It is cr-p.
Ha ha! We were just talking about how our marketing su-ked on a conference call and someone told us about this site. It is what we always chat about. Do you think they will hire someone a little…..no a lot more skilled and talented to run our marketing? We seriously need that.
This is the largest company I have ever sold for. And it has the worst marketing I have seen. We all talk about this sh-t. The WORST!
Our marketing is kindergarten stuff. Give us a better chance to win and get us a new marketing leader and tools.
Duh. Everyone knows our marketing is pi-s poor. I had a couple customers tell me that. I just tell them, it may be but we are the best at getting you what you need when you need it.
To know this fu-----d is the one doing the useless marketing and we may have layoffs because of her old a-s sh-t is just not fair to us.
She has a huge ego that doesn’t match the bullsh-t marketing that she is handing us. It won’t do sh-t to help us get business at the increased margins they want.
yes sir. Y'all are spot on. Marketing is a dinosaur. Time for a change! Now.
Our IT is helpful and tries. They do have an old infrastructure but they do their best to make it work and it does overall. But marketing is more of a leader problem. She and her team are not older per se but their strategy and ideas are horrible. I agree with the rest of you guys. Get us a new CMO and a new direction.
Marketing su-ks and su-ks badly. But so do our IT customer ordering tools. We had problems with them again last week and one of my customers still is experiencing problems placing orders. How can we win with the old sh-t that always doesn't work that IT is giving us. I hope Mr. F is paying attention.
These posts sound like what we all talk about and yet nothing will happen. Our marketing leaders give us sh-t to work with. The stock is more volatile now which means the execs will move to curve costs internally instead of looking at increasing sales by bringing in a new CMO. So why should we waste our time talking about this on this site when they won't give a fu-k.
She always says she is very connected to the executives so she ain't going anywhere. We are stuck with the terrible marketing as long as she is here. Makes our job tougher because we have to overcome this weakness to hit our sales targets.
We have the worst marketing team in the business. We just have to look at where she worked before. Not very dynamic companies. She is in over her head! We help you make it? Is anyone outside of our company even aware of that slogan? I ask my customers and they have no clue. The last one I asked said it was very infantile and not catchy and called out our marketing materials and ideas as a bit "re----k". You can't make this sh-t up. Get us someone from a proven creative company. Not RustOleum nor the other "nobody" brands that we have never heard of.
This is very true. And the lead is not a nice person.
Our marketing is horrible. Help us succeed and bring in a better CMO.
It's about time someone called this out. Her weak ideas are why we are stagnant and slowing on sales. She is also not a nice person to those who are not executives. She will lead us to more layoffs. My customers always tell me how poor our marketing is compared to everyone else, including the local small competitors. She su-ks! We need new blood in our veins. Make it happen Mr. F.
Oh goodness, yes! Other than the distrust and lack of respect that we have for our security team, this is the next big thing. After working in our national sales and seeing my friends at other companies with much better marketing, I have long been waiting for a change.
The poor marketing will continue to keep sales below where we should be operating. The poor security will cause a major lawsuit when someone is hurt because no one wants to report what frightens us. Both are really bad.
I wouldn't say they are old, they are just not very good and yes, extremely stale. I worked at another company that had older marketing leaders and they were creative and had fresh and effective ideas. Out proposals were nicely created with some great pictures and marketing ideas. Our ads drew interest and the events (like food fanatics) were fun and had great signage and posters. Our presentation decks and marketing materials were a hit and the sales reflected positively once they brought her in to replace a person who had been effective but was not very creative. They are still growing at double the percentage that we are. I too thought our marketing strategy was flawed when I came over and after meeting our CMO and working with her, it is obvious as to why. We NEED a new direction here or there will be more layoffs because our growth numbers won't be there. I think deep inside that our leadership team knows it and will move in that direction.
Yes Lawd. She iis so lame in how we market the company.
It’s not only old and stale. It is complete sh-t. Did you see those dum--ss signs at the show? And the proposals are archaic. Give her the boot and get us the visionary that we deserve. That decision alone would improve our revenue and profits.
