The thing these m oron CVPs don't understand is that working remotely was part of compensation. Why would I (64) stay at the company with my $45k yearly RSU grants when I could go to Google and get $155k or Amazon and get $194k or meta and get $200k or Nvidia @ $130k . All those places have RTO too.
Those of us who have specific skillsets are easily hirable at all the other places. Might as well get paid for my time in the office. See ya.
