Just got rid of nearly everyone in salt lake and Ogden. They’re putting the 4 electricians that are left in a road truck and the same with machinists.

Locomotives and cars don’t need fixed. They never break down! This is the UP, bestest of the best according to Vena and the executives! FUP!
I smell PineBluff is in the cross hairs........
Maybe the work is going to juniata locomotive shop.
@aw my dad works at the UP in Ogden. He was told yesterday about it. From what he found out they only kept 4 people. So about 40 others were let go yesterday.
@c2 12 machinists and 4 electricians
Utah is not the only place that lost people! Quite a few other locations lost a few mechanical personnel as well. If you know of other locations that lost people, then please post them here. The more public we can make this, the worse it'll look for Vena! Time to start exposing their secrets for the world to see!
Let the road jobs go unfilled. They are destroying the unions with road work.
@OP What are the numbers per craft that are getting furloughed in Salt Lake and Ogden?
Folks, little Jimmy is getting desperate! The stock has been tanking and more incidents have been occurring in the network. His promises or whatever you want to call them to the shareholders are nothing more than fantasies at this point. He promised a $400 stock price, which was NEVER going to happen! He also promised the UP was going to be the safest railroad in North America. It's kind of hard to be the safest railroad when you keep having crossing accidents and derailments everywhere. The company is losing money fast and with a proposed merger coming up, it might be a bit hard to make it happen if the company doesn't have the money for it.
It all started with Pocatello. Looks like it is the small shops that they are have started to get rid of.
I'm in Utah. I still see the UP vehicles all over. So what is nearly everyone?
This is how We Win......... Padding the pockets of the shareholders. Sad
They just did the same at Albina. 9 of 12 Machinst furloughed, 4 of 7 electricians gone.
I was just told albina and green river car and locomotive are gone too.
