The company's Grindstone location in Fayette County is the last listed for closure according to a list on Rite Aid's website, which says its last day was Aug. 22.

When rite aid was in its 1990 to 2006 phase, times were good. You had sign on bonuses and a lot of hiring. Then the fallout from the scandal and overexpansion nationwide took effect. Work became toxic. Anyone with business sense knew rite aids financial aspirations were unsustainable and sure to result in bankruptcy. It took time but it happened. It will happen to other businesses that overextended and have bad leadership. Walgreens is headed in the same direction
