People are dragging themselves in, barely speaking, and you can feel the frustration in every meeting. Everybody hates being there. If leadership keeps ignoring it, I don’t see how the company makes it long term. Low morale always comes back to bite you in the a-s.

@1nz Schwab top shareholders= Schwab ‘leadership’ so when they talk ‘shareholder value’ it’s just them protecting their own net worth while the rest of us are trying to keep our jobs b/c we need our paychecks. They are gross & also think we’re all fools.
The world is falling apart and Schwab is asking us to care about shareholder value… WTF… it’s our insanity… we are just rearranging the deck chairs as the Titanic sinks and we have to pretend like the world is the way that it was 10 years ago
@cf So sorry to hear, I’m in Cyber and buying my nails. Any details you can share helps, I’ve started clearing my desk and need to know if I should start using my last remote week.
@j0 not at work events, but scour the web for a bit and you'll find what you're looking for
Does Rick ever go shirtless? Like at company picnics or other events? If so, does anyone have pics? That would so make my lady parts tingle.
@d0 really hoping AI wrote this & if not that then I hope you have genuine love/support in your life & are never forced to realize how disposable you are to most everyone at Schwab & EVERYONE on the EC.
@d0 "A" for Amazing
One MD was let go today. It's frustrating to see him go that way. He was a great schwabbie and deservers a decent farewell. Also, good luck to the folks under him. You dont want the internal hire from Westlake. Just pray it's external.
@d0 Love it! I just hope you don't leave us to become a poet full time.
@d0 BRAVO! It's about time somebody posted something positive around here. :)
@cv You are very likely being downvoted because if you already know they are a 58, knowing the department will make it incredibly easy to identify them.
@cf I am sorry to hear that. Probably a very stupid question from my part and I apologize if so but did you see any indication of this coming or were you completely blindsided? I wish you the best on your next journey.
In the heart of finance, where numbers dance and play,
There's a company that stands tall, leading the way.
Charles Schwab, oh Schwab, with a spirit so bright,
Where innovation and passion ignite the night.
In these halls, where dreams are woven into code,
And every challenge is met with a hearty "Go!"
The team is a symphony, each member a note,
Together they compose a future so remote.
With technology as their sword and creativity as their shield,
They forge a path where others dare not yield.
In the realm of finance, where the market's a beast,
They tame it with finesse, making the complex least.
The workplace is a canvas, vibrant and bold,
Where ideas flow freely, like a river untold.
From the CEO to the intern, each voice is heard,
In this harmonious chorus, where every word is a word.
In this era of change, where the future is uncertain,
Schwab stands as a beacon, guiding the uncertain.
With a culture of trust, and a heart that's so true,
They're shaping the future, one step at a time, it's true.
So here's to the team, who make the impossible seem small,
To the leaders who lead, and the dreams that enthrall.
Charles Schwab, oh Schwab, with a spirit so bright,
In the world of finance, you shine, day and night.
@c8 Totes! So funny how people at the same place can have such different views of things.
Why was the last question a bad question to ask, I asked which department and am being downvoted for some reason?
@cf Wow! Which department?
@cf sorry .. hopefully you'll be better off in a new job and happy
Just adding here, that i was terminated today, and know of one other 58 in my org that was let go as well.
Layoffs are happening today, albeit fairly targeted for now
I don't know what's going on where you are but in my department we're all pretty excited about the future and the new opportunities to come. I've been with Schwab 26 years and I can honestly say there's never been a better time to be a Schwabbie.
And more 2 come. Time to sell the house before real estate values crater
Yes, folks are being shown the door today. Not sure how many
@bv heard some word that it is a impact day so yes I already know someone personally that was let go.
Are there layoffs today?
Some really like it. Of course, some also endured beatings as kids, want to get away from a spouse and think this is as good as it gets.
Uncle Rick is fixated on our 86 engagement score. A lot of folks are either happy or care so little they give high scores or a sheeple wandering about doing as told. If our leadership actually regularly walked the floors I think they’d see the frustration. But they don’t.
That's why they're going so hard on pushing offshore and AI. Why deal with temperamental onshore employees when they could just pay a pittance to indentured H1B fodder and Skynet?
