There were/are layoffs today at Cloudera. To think, I left a good job to come here. Wow, just wow.

Some d-mb folks are sitting as directors !! Senior management is pathetic.. more layoff .. only politics
I thought Hadoop was taking off. What has happened? Have AWS and Azure taken the lions share of the Big Data market?
At least 15% of work force , it was a huge company ki----g move. Anyone still here should seriously think of moving as soon as possible
Rob Bearden is a crook. When they were public execs, including the CFO were selling stock during a blackout. That should never happen. Been saying it for years. Nothing good has happened since Bearden took over. Tom Reilly was respected and ran a professional org. They have tried to sell a few times but no one wants the company. The old HDP guard has no clue how to manage. They will write books about how this company gave up and amazing opportunity. So sad.
Was laid off after closing all my Q4 opportunities, thought I was going to the club this year, very disappointed.
Same thing happened to me. Left my company for a role in Cloudera. Contacted by phone they told me that offer has been revoked due to latest layoff.
I was told most of the folks in the SaaS team are gone, Cloudera is sinking, lack of leadership direction, jump off the ship when you still can.
i seen people get laid off right infront of my eyes. nearly 90% of r&d is gone. People were so hardworking. I never seen people deliver so much in so little time. Prayers are with those who lost not just jobs but morale after putting sweat and blood to the company. RIP
After five years, I got laid off too. My manager said this round is broad and significant, I asked him if it’s more than 10%, he said very likely. Since it is a private company, it doesn’t need to disclose the percentage.
Every department probably got hit in this round of layoffs, Finance, IT, Engineering, Professional Services, etc. Morale is low, leadership feels disconnected with the existing employees.
The WFR impacted a "high single digit % of company." Is what I was told. Lots of sales, channel, SE and huge impact to ISR's.
I got laid off too. My manager said they started last night. I think quite a few people got laid off but i’m not sure exactly how many.
Did they provide any other details? How many people in total?
