Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

The T-7 trainer is $1 billion over budget

The T-7 trainer that Boeing won, is more than $1 billion over budget and more than three years late.

Yet Boeing won the F-47 program based on their ability to execute?

Based on the starliner and the tanker programs, whhy would you award another program to Boeing?

I feel like there should be an investigation as to why Boeing won the F-47 program? When is the last time Boeing had successfully executed a defense program?

Is the TX-7 Trainer a fixed cost contract? It should be and Boeing should be eating the loss.

TX-7 Trainer was done in St Louis, by McDonnell Douglas people, yep they still think they are McD back there in St Louis. Enough said.

Because there's only 3 aircraft companies left who can do anything like that. Our gummint decided to allow the many to merge into a few, so without any actual competent competition anymore, it's all just a taxpayer bath in the end. Enjoy your suds!

The entire defense sector has this issue on every type of product. But remember even though both political parties played ball with this, it was the alleged "free market" party who champions monopolies and refuses to challenge mergers. Here we are.
