Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

4th quarter will be a painful period for many many

If you had no promotions in the last 3-4 yeas, then this year will be a good bye year for you, this is applicable mostly from the Manager levels, that will be one of the criteria to measure your performance.

Restructuring will blow away many delivery managers, VPS and leadership level that are just busy on internal meetings will be the other area of nailing down

4th quarter will be a painful period for many many..............

( One of my close friend at leadership level at Texas that had 27 years of experience told me the above points a month ago and quit just last Friday and that time I didn't believed him and thought he is a stupid, but now I see how wise he is)

Whether you are in the Project or not in the project - It doesnt matter, but if you are ranked in the below 5% in your category - then Let go notification will come from your CC, around week 2 of November. (Who or how they rank someone, what is the criteria, what is the rule only the GOD Julie knows )

@gs i think 2 months is ok but you are approaching the limit. i'd start to seriously worry about month 3. also, if you just started you may be ok for a number of reasons, especially if you a junior resource. in previous rifs i've seen awkward things happen, i've seen analyst with 4 months on the bench being spared, while consultants with 2 months on the bench being axed. it also depends on how you are aligned, how the pipeline for your alignment looks like, what local mds are planning, track record, ranking, etc. i dont think there is a simple answer for this.

That’s really insightful, thanks for sharing. It’s tough to see how things are shifting, but your friend clearly had the foresight to read the signs early. Restructuring can be painful, especially for people who’ve dedicated decades to the same company. Let’s hope those affected find better opportunities ahead.

Do you want me to make it sound more supportive (showing empathy for those affected) or more practical (focused on career advice and adapting)?
