You'll stand up for your families, you'll stand up for your friends, why not stand up for yourselves. Stop letting the people who sit in offices keep you afraid and feeling helpless.

Bronx shop used to have well over 200 techs and now it's less than 30. They all know that they need to be unionized but there's no one left that is willing to stick their own neck out and lead. Fear of retaliation is very strong due to all that has happened over the years. (blame Fat Barry)
Both OSP supervisors are operating in fear because they believe that if there's any union activity inside the shop, it will put them in jeopardy. As a result, they make sure every decision is calculated as to not rock the boat and just maintain status quo.
Ever since the last election back in 2017 where the union lost (113-92), Management's top priority was to make sure that this can never ever happen again. They successfully proceeded with their plan to reduce in-house techs by 90% and increase contract labor by 75%.
At this point, only way Bronx goes union is if they all were to simultaneously realize that they're in danger of losing their $100K+ salaries and feel the need to do something about it.
My old shop in wv, the few guys that are left are the ones that drank the kool aid that Mr. Union buster and Fred whatever his last name is, Andy parrot told them 5 or so years ago. They’d probably still vote no to this day lol
CWA is the way to go, they're way more in line with what your work is.
IBEW shops dont have as good contracts, in my opinion.
The company can not be trusted, we all know that.
Bronx it’s your time !!!!!! Let’s go secure your future
The company has zero problems laying off a large number of their workforce and bringing in contractors. File cards then vote yes. The company WILL try and scare you with lies, they WILL make false promises, they WILL ACT like they are your best friends and have your best interests in mind. Don't believe any of it and stand strong.

Being an at-will employee in a place like this is not a good thing. This means an employer can terminate an employee at any time for any reason. Or get this - for no reason at all! You currently have no protections at all if you are non-union. This regime is ruthless and they are currently figuring out who will be included in their next round of layoffs. Do yourself a favor and throw a roadblock up for them. You are good working class people who deserve a chance. If you think these corporate stooges care about you, you are crazy.
The company likes to scare employees with "you'll have to pay a lot in dues" or whatever. We went through all that BS too. It's a actually a very small percentage of your base every payday. You don't even notice it's gone. It's a small price to pay for the union protections that you receive. Don't take my word for it, reach out to one of the union shops and ask their opinion. They know A LOT that the company will never tell you.
😳😬
I can’t afford a Big Mac meal let alone more dues bro
