Thread regarding BNSF Railway layoffs

Havelock

Havelock will be shutting down. The reason it hasn’t been done yet is because the powers that be don’t want to pay labor protection claims. So, if they slowly make cuts and claim an irreversible decline in business, their chances of having a favorable argument increases.
The writing is on the wall, see it or don’t. The people running BNSF don’t care about culture, heritage, or history. They only care about one thing… money.

I think their end game is to close Havelock or have a skeleton crew. The wheel plant is going to become automated. I’ve heard 20 Carman will be cut at the end of this month. We will see

@j1 you have no clue that it’s coming. Zero chance both things are happening. No clue at all, just talk and no proof.

@fr I heard they want to do away with the Orin from an employee that works that line. They say it will never happen though. So it is a true rumor but they probably can’t figure out just how to do it successfully and be money ahead.

@fr No. It’s coming. When it does, don’t say you weren’t warned.

What ever came with Alliance nebraska closing or the Orin Line being for sale? Sounds like the same person that wrote those Posts wrote this post. No Proof just a bunch of hearsay.
