@bj my eyes almost fell out of my head when I saw the bit about "we are doing what big businesses do" like...the whole point is that we are different from them in that we are a partnership and not a publicly traded entity. But yes, let's see more of what those big businesses do. So excited!

@bg Penny’s Page today was pitiful. I also noticed she no longer is using her photo.

A friend of mine worked in External Affairs and moved to another area last fall. But she has bragged how they were the first area to get to pilot the new firmwide AI chat and has told me how none of the senior leaders of Penny write their own stuff. I don’t know this surprised me but as someone who is in Service, this never ever crossed my mind that someone who makes over 20 million dollars a year can’t take 10 mins to write something to the firm she is leading. My friend said they all have writers assigned to them. This goes for when they appear in the media or even are quoted in outside articles!!? Um, I’m no communications professional but how can someone be technically quoted as saying something they never said. This whole firm is all about optics. She told me all of the ELT members basically have a playbook written for them where they copy and paste these apparently incapable leaders’ talking points. All optics. This is not the same firm it once was. I’m safe for now, but someone in my dept was let go and reading Penny’s Page today made me literally sick thinking he had to read that BS. I’d say Penny is insincere but knowing she’s not even writing that cr-p, they need to fire everyone who is writing for her.

I was in a meeting a while back where a GP was espousing the greatness of CGPT and said she used it to write a recommendation letter for a daughter of a friend and how that was awesome. If I found out I asked someone for a recommendation and they used AI to write it instead of putting genuine thought and effort into it, they would probably not be my friend anymore. So trust, this goes deep and they consider it very normal. Really, it's just lazy and sad. And insulting.

@a5 they are trying to “reinvent” themselves as change management. Yet they can’t do either. I say stream down th3 change capability as the6 don5 have the talent to get this done. Consider cost savings of the GPs salary from displacing those GPs.

It’s also our communications function. Not like they actually know how to write communications.
