No more flexibility with my mornings. No more working through lunch. No more working weekends and certainly no more hopping on my computer in the evenings. You’ll see me from 8-5 4x a week not a minute more. I used to give Ford more time than I should have because I was a team player and they afforded me flexibility. No longer.

Righto. We should demonstrate utmost respect for the company that goes out of its way to disrespect us. That'll learn em.
Slacker is for silicon valley loosers
@er love the 5:30 to 2:00 work schedule. I’m out of the house by 4:45am… I avoid the traffic, but watch out not to hit raccoons and foxes in the morning.
Two days in and I've spent more time in the parking lot smoking than at my desk. Updates everyone?
@OP you should have started this two months ago when they announced the RTO
Do the job, attend a few meetings and then go home.
I'm do 6 _2:30 and there are plenty of seats. love watching them wonder in around 8 to 10 looking for a place to work.
@d7+1k43brske per my prior supervisor (great, by the way): we'll never get promoted. we're white males with relevant experience who know how to do our jobs! :)
Slacker. I've attached or below bare minimum for months on end. You've got a lot of catching up to do.
Good for you. When my boss told me I could never be considered for promotion to LL6 because I was too old, I decided to only give Ford the minimum effort required to not get terminated. I work 7:00 to 4:00, take my full lunch hour, decline or leave meetings that go past 4:00, no nights or weekend work, stopped training the new GSRs and LL6s, stopped doing additional "management pet projects". I do only my job and I do it good enough that no one bothers me. I am the old man who actual can-do engineering so my 20 something clue less LL6 of the month leaves me alone. When I hit 59 1/2, I am gone and never looking back.
7-3 schedule, work through lunch by eating during a meeting to get your hour back, leave building at 2:45 to avoid traffic. more time with wife and kids.
