I am interested in who will be the main targets, although it is not wise for anyone to assume that they will be safe.

Just answer this: Can someone else perform the same function, or is your function still needed in tough times?
Maybe like Facilities, EHS, Security, etc?
Where did you hear that? They did that in 2015 but both in 2018 were about salary and cost cutting not performance
Mostly employees/managers with performance reviews that "needed improvement".
Why do people on this site act like children, what is wrong with you guys! If you have worked long enough in our field you would know that layoff is inevitable. Two to five layoffs throughout your career is normal. Use it as a motivation for a fresh start and look for better work conditions. Always keep your skills sharp. You are an adult working for a business. It is purely business buddy. Just move on and stop whining.

- fireman(radio people) you can be cut.
- HRBP can be cut
- No clean room access, can be cut
- Never wear bunny suit, can be cut
- Paid 2X more than peers, can be cut
If you worked from home during the pandemic then your position can be offshored and not considered essential to on-site manufacturing.
I'm curious what non-manufacturing groups have anyone left to spare. We (F&O BU) were already gutted pre-IPO to make the books look better. My team is already short a few engineers. Where they make cuts will be a good indicator of where they see the company heading in years to come.
What positions are in the manufacturing departments?
Are process and equipment engineers and MSMs considered manufacturing? And MOC too?
Non manufacturing
