How does Citi expect anyone to get any work done when 6.5 out of the 8 hour workday are bullsh-t useless meetings? When the fu-k are we supposed to actually do our work? What's the point of attending meetings if everyone except the presenter is multi-tasking and not paying attention?

Just attend and do nothing - then when the boss asks you why are you still working on something explain that you had to attend meeting. Simple - I do that constantly - they pay you to do this sh-t, so do it. It is not your problem.

if you want to grow at Citi, attend meetings, su-k up , have a sugar daddy, talk 5 mins for a yes or no question. No other skills necessary.
@OP in most meetings, you won't be missed. Learn to filter those where your presence is not required. We have geniuses setting them up and inviting a truckload of people unnecessarily, same for email threads.
@OP Psychologists have stated in their research that multi-tasking or the ability to do so is a myth.
The brain can only focus on one or at most two tasks simultaneously.
And then if employees don't do other work during meetings or "multitask", the employees are blamed for this.
