Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a stark increase in the amount of time being taken off. I don’t think this is part of the normal summer vacation cycle. I’m getting the impression that people are flamed out and have stopped giving full effort, and it’s completely understandable and justified. August has been just as bad as July. Mental health days are important during times like this
It’s a holiday weekend and people have been taking days for last minute vacations before back to school.
People are also leaving for better jobs. The job market is moving into a positive direction now.
I agree with you. Random days are taken here or there because people need a mental break.
This could also be sign they are interviewing and want the day off to ensure they not bothered.
Either way things have gone from bad to worse within just one year.
