Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

I’m from the Government and I’m here to help

Well, it’s over. Intel is no longer a runner in the game of capitalism. Suggestions for management, the board or the CEO are all irrelevant ant all his time. Intel is now a pariah to the mainstream capitalist economic system. Let it slowly sink in. Hire a therapist if necessary but It’s Over.

Yep lots of gamers are going to just love the choosing the new GovChips. Maybe state owned fabs will sell at a discount or give them away like GovCheese?

Maybe Intel will be as successful as the Trump University scam.

Is Intel just being fattened up for the Bain/McKinsey chop shop?

Yes. Alternatively, where is Carl Icahn when you need him?

Intel may be kept alive by govt money from here on out. But govt money cannot fix inept management, poor business decisions or toxic political culture. Intel may be kept from insolvency and ELT bonuses may continue but it’s not going to cause Intel to leapfrog TSMC in process node nor will it help innovate into new products. Unlike the 1990s and 2000s Intel is no longer the top preferred choice for the top engr college grads.

Why just Intel, why not give govt money to Global foundries, Micron, TI and other fabs in US? We spend 800 billion on defense. Why not spend a little of that on other fabs in US?
