I have been with the company for 3 years and was forced into a role I didn’t want after only a year. Then I finally interviewed and moved to a new area in April only to get canned yesterday. What a waste of 3 years.

@OP don’t think of it as a waste of three years. I am sure you were a vital part of your team. If you want to stay, I bet there will be a closer of openings to apply for over the next month. Good luck!

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope you well in the future. Know for those that are staying this will be remembered for decades to come and leadership will pay a price for it. Whether it be in satisfaction scores, low moral or bad press all around.
