I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've read in several posts that people were not even able to get their personal items before being escorted out. Is this true? I think it's incredibly inhumane if it is true, and adds another humiliating layer to this whole thing.

No one was walked out, this is a lie.
@bg, The re-imagined started in 2024 for some divisions and 2025 for other divisions.
This is why there's different dates for talented associates to head out the door.
@bg their last day of work is 9/5, but their building access was revoked immediately. Most people were on Zoom, but if they were in the office, they were given the rest of the day off and walked out. There was extra security just for that. Humiliating.
That can be normal but the communication was that the last day of work would be 9/5 and last day of employment would be November something. So there shouldn't be any walking out the door type situations.
Unfortunately that is pretty normal in layoffs. I think the intent is to avoid creating a scene but it su-ks when it happens.
