Thread regarding Edward Jones layoffs

I’m not mad…

Just disappointed. I thought I’d be here for life. Now I’m not sure if I can be. Or if I even want to be….

@bt Same here. It's not worth it. I stayed here despite low wages for the work I do and poor benefits for the culture and job security. Now that this cannot be relied on, no point in not trying to find something else.

I’m actively job hunting regardless of how this plays out for my specific role. The trust is just no longer there for me. That started changing long before ER. And without that, there’s no point to continuing trying to hold on because of the supposed job security

@a5 drinking the kool aid and just saying yes are the prerequisites. Sadly this reorg was designed by people who really do not understand the work and do not know the workforce to make a coherent decision. They would have been better served to say they did it based on the numbers but they want to appear as if they care.

Same. Disappointed. Take care of yourself.

I've decided that even if I survive amd make it until wed, my team/dept is for sure going to have a major reshuffle (for the worst) judging by my TL comments and hints of late. They will destroy a perfectly good, functional, effective team just because some GP needs to move stuff around on paper to look relevant. But, we will still have 8 layers management after this is done. All enterprise reimagine is doing (stupid name btw) is getting rid of anyone who doesn't drink the kool aid and replacing them with yes men. We have literal psychopaths running this company into the ground.
