Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Where is Mr. Transparency?

Our fearless leader has not addressed the company with a status update in two months, not even to acknowledge the so-called "Day One."

Is there a Tom Krause sighting yet? I think I saw him in a diner with Elvis.

When someone who has never been a CEO before gets a CEO role, you have to expect that they are learning as they go. More fool the Vista and Evergreen folks for hiring TK. The guy is a dud. A puppet for PE. Nothing more, nothing less.

Don't remind him. I'd rather not hear from him again.

I wonder if Elliot regrets the purchase yet. Lmfao. You gotta admit, it’s been a disaster.

Upper management told me Citrites don’t get it. He’s so transparent he’s invisible! Most transparent CEO in history. If you don’t like it, leave! Insert your own appeal to emotions designed to get people to voluntarily quit and forego severance here.

Here's a simple analogy: you hire a building contractor to remodel your old home and he tells you not to worry about his limited number of referral customers. He's done this type of work before. He'll do the job cheaply. Trust him, all will turn out well in the end.

On the first day of the remodeling project he shows up with a kn--e and a sledgehammer, but no other tools. You ask, what's your plan, is that all you have? He says my goal is to do the demolition work, and when I'm done you can find someone else more qualified to complete the rest of the work. What could possibly go wrong?

That's where we are today folks. Did anyone expect a different outcome with TK?

Maybe he's still knee-deep with annual planning, I understand it's still not finalized. Damn it, Tom! At least the previous leaders would sing some honey into my ears but, you are not even trying. Let's go Tommy! Show us left standing what you can do, until then please pop in some good ole Fleetwood Mac and learn the art sweet lies.

If I could turn the page
In time, then I'd rearrange just a day or two
Close my,
Close my,
Close my eyes
But I couldn't find a way
So I'll settle for one day to believe in you
Tell me,
Tell me,
Tell me lies
Tell me lies
Tell me sweet little lies
(Tell me lies, tell me, tell me lies)
Oh no, no you can't disguise
Tell me lies
Tell me sweet little lies

Meanwhile, a number of good veteran employees on both sides have been shown the door. At least they get a nice obituary, courtesy of Tom Berquist.

Observation: leading and managing this odd collection of troubled legacy software companies (now known as CSG) is apparently more complicated than merely downsizing CA and Symantec while at Broadcom.

In hindsight, the selection of Tom Krause as CEO appears to be a huge mistake.

If he has a meaningful vision of the financial outlook for this combined company turn-around, then he needs to share it soon to be considered a credible leader. That said, I fear he's already in over his head. Why? You can't be transparent if you lack a plan of action, and don't know how to fix this train wreck. Game over?

Sounds like the transparency BS was exactly that, BS.
