When you look at who they are, is it “I’d buy that guy a coffee just to keep him talking,” or is it radio silence?
Ever come across a quote or story and think, “That actually shifted how I see the business”? Has a single line from any of them ever rearranged the furniture in your head? Something you still quote to others six months later?
Do they strike you as genuinely bright in a way that commands respect, or does the role simply amplify an average talent with the right credentials?
Do you believe their eyes light up when they talk about people, or is it the practiced calm of a career politician?
When they get up there talking about “innovation” and “the future” - does anyone actually believe a word that comes out of their mouth? Like seriously, when you wake up in the morning, does any part of you think “I can’t wait to hear what they have to say today”?
One-on-one, no PR, no org chart. After five minutes, are you leaning forward wishing you had a notebook, or silently checking the time? If yes, something you repeated to a friend or kid because it reframed how work, risk, or resilience actually looks?
Essentially: Would you voluntarily extend the conversation another ten minutes?
Scale of 1-10: without the title, would you still assume “This brain moves faster than mine” the way you do when talking to a grizzled craftsman who fixes tractors with zip-ties and a coathanger? Give the number, no essay needed.
When they open the playbook, do you feel like you’re reading football with a poet’s eyes, not memorizing tactics from a clipboard?
Have you ever turned to a buddy and said, “Nah, that guy’s sc--w-driven from the factory, no self-help book on Amazon could manufacture that wiring”?
Would you trust them to tell you the unfiltered truth even if it cost them? Would you be able to ask them about the last time they lied? Would you expect them to tell you?
Are they the kind whose garage you’d happily spend a Saturday in just to watch how they troubleshoot (even if the fix is duct tape and stubbornness), or does it feel like they outsource passion from someone they'd ask to make the slide deck?
I want to know, beyond the quarterly script, if these individual voices ever make you lean in and say, “Yeah, I’d trust that person to not only know the truth, but tell me it".
1-to-10: stripped of the logo and the podium, would you still instinctively assume “this brain moves faster than mine”?
Have any of these people ever made you feel like you walked into the building richer than your paycheck. Ultimately curious if anyone here has found a mind that feels like it’s wired just a little differently (in the good way) or if it’s all the usual safe-copy corporate quilts.
