Thread regarding Five9 Inc. layoffs

It's too much

I feel completely overwhelmed here. Management treats every task as critical, so nothing has a real priority. There’s no way to do good work under this kind of pressure, but it doesn’t seem to matter to them. I’m not sure how much longer I can keep up with it.

if many people are feeling the way you do, why don't get together, plan, document everything, and hire a lawyer, sue Five9 for the physical and mental abuse, and move on to a new gig.

I'm in the same boat, managers are either treating things as super critical or treating the actual critical things as interrupts for the jira board.

It's not only frustrating but overwhelming. I started applying about 2 and a half weeks ago and have so many interviews it's insane. If you're willing to work in office or hybrid the pay is 50k-60k more also.

There's a much better, less toxic workplace waiting for you outside of Five9.

Stop accepting mediocrity. Only you can improve your own life.

You aren’t alone. I just started looking for a life outside of five9 and just got hit with 7 interviews in a day. The recruiter said that if you have experience selling, building with or managing AI it is like Covid era hiring. Don’t be overwhelmed, go join a company that isn’t outsourcing everything to India, micromanaging your work or otherwise harming your life. Your work is 2/3rds of your time and likely occupies your subconscious, it’s not healthy, productive, or good for your career to keep working here.
