Those teams should have been canned in 2021.

Capitalism(profits) and outsourcing of jobs are the main cause of these layoffs.

As per the regular trolls 7000 will not make the cut yes the above are anemic numbers compared with the 7000 target, even if they don't have to be from these

The remaining 7000-221 are from RTP. Remember, it's shut down this time :D

@a7 Bingo. The two month "transition" isn't a gift, it's a shell game. Cisco didn't want layoffs muddying their earnings call so they push announcements right after. This two month transition lets them park the severence expense in the quarter they want. And calling it a "transition" check the compliance box so they can say they gave notice.

This seems like a silly lawsuit. Cisco keeps you, fully paid, on staff 60 days post lr notice. I believe that's to cover their a$$ from WARN act violations.

@a1 It all depends on how many people work in Milpitas, and what percentage is represented by those 157, of the number of workers working in Milpitas. Similarly for SF.

Easy to do since most Californians are fleeing the state.

In the grand scheme of things, barely a scratch. But one job lost is one too many.
