This idea that working yourself to the bone proves anything is completely wrong. Companies like Qualcomm push people to sacrifice personal life and health for some numbers on a report. It just leads to exhaustion and frustration. I have learned that maintaining balance is worth more than endless overtime.

Ever since I left Q, I’ve felt that every workplace I’ve joined has been supportive and great.
I recommend working out at the gym, having lunch with coworkers, and/or taking long walks at lunch to relieve the stress. Many people could not cope at the Q:
Don't let the work load get you down, so take time off if the stress is getting to you:

@kn: yet another fool drinking the qcom kool aid... Drink-up, there plenty more!
Stop complaining. If you can't handle it, find an easier job and get paid less. It's not a job for the weak. It may not be worth it for you because you are not good enough. Many people can handle the work.
3 jumpers when I was at $QCOM. 1 dead in their office. 2 more dead on tread mills. Former CTO with stents.
It's true that sacrificing your personal life for work is totally unhealthy. But it's also true that tech companies are more and more demanding exactly that.
There's nothing like 'this place' anywhere. It's team based darling. Find a team with good work life balance and live the San Diego dream.
We need to be more like PMIC Santa, and still enjoy Creme Pai from BDC. This is the way....
Tech is brutal, no matter where you go. Meta has a 20% quota to fire every 6 months! Amazon, is known as PIP factory! The only less brutal for now is Apple, but it's more toxic than Q! The bright side is tech pays much higher than most other jobs. Just hustle, be savvy and invest when you are young and take early retirement in your 40s!
People already forgot all the suiciddds at Qcom, all the people who have pasxx of heart attacks, or just simple fell Ill. I bet people don't even know of these cases or remember them. This place will make you sick or drive you to deat... Intentionally or not. Unless you are mean you will survive with less scars, otherwise, you will learn the hard way.
