So many VPs . They must all be useful, competent, or worth their pay right?
Very troubling to see VPs hired while we sacked people that actually work. Wondered how many had to be sacked to get those glorified useless roles on board.
Pricing VP? We've been in transformation to be a database SaaS for over 5 years and still don't have a clue on how to price what we sell? the task is probably a senior product/marketing/sales individual report to a director at best? It shows how incompetent our leadership is with our product.
VP for hackathon? and how many more VPs on non product activities? We really have a lot of dough to subsidize these important revenue generating folks while our devs scramble for resources.
Eng VP got promoted into that role for delivering a software release? a task that a release or product manager can do for much less and does not add another level of the massive engineering org tree already.
UI UX VP? Are we hiring the next Steve Jobs ??? or yet another function that can be done by good engineers?
Know any other roles with inflated titles (and sadly chunk of the payroll, AIP, stock options)?
